Our Most Successful Year To Date!
We had the largest attendance ever at the 17 th Annual Government Collection Conference (GCC) in San Diego, February 26 - 28. This didn’t even include our east coast clients who attended GCC East in October.
The Doubletree hotel provided a wonderful experience for the conference. We had numerous classes, networking sessions, and it was topped off by impressive food and a very comfortable setting.
We enjoyed hearing from Micki Regan-Silvey, who told us how Alameda County, CA is getting back to the basics in collections and how it is proving to be quite beneficial. Kim Knox, from Maricopa County, AZ headed up a session that prompted the attendees to speak out on how their government collects money. This prompted additional discussions that were beneficial to all.
In the morning general session on Wednesday, Dan Steinman, an experienced collections industry professional, shared with us how to work best with people over the phone. We learned how to handle debtors even better, and the message gave us a better sense of how we should handle anyone on the phone.
Nancy Bischoff and Chuck Wagner, two of RevQ’s consultants, shared their knowledge of handling debtors at the counter and how to analyze collections data. We appreciate their leadership at their sessions.
In addition, RevQ taught sessions were well prepared and well received by clients.
We are including photographs of GCC that conjure up fond memories. (These can also act as proof for those you serve, that you were at GCC.)
