Did You Know…
RevQ's Client Services Lead, Kellie Mendenhall, along with her son and a group of others, will be spending spring break 2009 helping underprivileged children in Southern Costa Rica, in a town called Cocori.
In partnership with the community and a Peace Corps Volunteer, they will be helping build a multi-purpose sports court. There are currently few opportunities for these kids to participate in activities or play sports, so this is a chance for them to help change that!
In addition to building this sports court, the group hopes to put on a sports camp for the local children as well as participate in other projects and opportunities that arise. "While our primary purpose for going is to serve the people of Costa Rica, this will also be a great opportunity for everyone in the group to grow and learn as they 'get out of their comfort zone.' This trip will not only be a wonderful opportunity to give to these children, and to learn about another culture, country and ourselves, but it will actually be a life-changing experience for everyone involved."
