Introducing our Quarterly Newsletter

A Letter From the President, Bruce Randall

Bruce RandallIt is wonderful to be able to provide you with a quarterly newsletter from RevQ. Our goal is to have the newsletter provide you a relevant and helpful information source that will serve your needs and the government collection industry in general. We expect to provide both RevQ-specific content on products and services to better serve you as well as topical industry issues and updates that will help elevate the level of government collections expertise wherever it is used. We will also direct you to the RevQ website occasionally to provide more detailed information in order to keep the newsletter short and impactful.

To bring you up-to-date, RevQ is part of Columbia Ultimate. For those of you who may not know, I started RevQ in May 2004 with Steve Ard and we joined Columbia Ultimate in July 2005. It is great to be back at Columbia Ultimate and work with all of you as well as the good people of Columbia Ultimate.

Since returning last July, we have been diligently working on offering you even better services and products.

In order to better serve you, we moved all the RevQ associates together on April 1st and it has been helpful in coordinating our efforts in your behalf. We have been in the process of hiring more associates in order to offer you more custom programming resources and enhance our product development efforts.

We had a wonderful Government Collection Conference in San Francisco in October and look forward to the next one in Maryland this coming October. While working on providing more services, we have partnered with Nancy Bischoff and Chuck Wagner, former government collections experts who retired from the government in the past year (or so). We feel they have been a great team to work with, and we have heard the same from you.

As many of you know, collecting government debt, on the whole, has never been a primary focus of many public entities. However, I have seen this changing in the last couple of years. States, such as California, Texas, Florida, Michigan, Illinois, Virginia, and a few others have created legislation that speaks directly to increasing efforts and compliance in this area. In many cases they offer both positive and negative incentives to increase the focus on collecting those delinquent accounts. This has been good for the industry as a whole.

RevQ is working with many of these governments and organizations at the State and National level to make sure our products and services are sufficient to handle the industry as it grows.

We continue to enjoy working with each of you and will continue our efforts to better serve you. Please let us know how we are doing. If you enjoy the newsletter or have suggestions for making it better, I look forward to hearing from you when you have a moment.

Sincerely,

Bruce Randall
